Softball Goes 3-1 Last Week, Pushing East Region Record to 15-5
[Ontario, OR] - The Chukar softball team went 3-1 last week as they split with Blue Mountain and took two on the road from Yakima Valley. Blue Mountain won the first game on Tuesday 11-9, and Treasure Valley bounced back with a 16-9 win in game two. Mylee Milne put a ball over the fence in game two, her 4th home run of the season. 
 
On Friday in Yakima, the Chukars cruised to two wins, 15-5 and 14-6. Halle Leavitt struck out 7 batters in game one, and Shaylee Burraston struck out 3 batters in game two. Milne went 4-5 and 2-4, combining for 6-9 on the day. Madi Van Sickle was also stellar hitting the ball, going to 4-5 and 3-3, totaling 7-8 on the day.
 
The Chukars are busy on the road this week, as they travel to the College of Southern Idaho on Tuesday for a double header in Twin Falls, ID, then to Spokane and Coeur d'Alene for battles with the Sasquatch and North Idaho Cardinals on Friday and Saturday. 
 
Treasure Valley sits in 3rd place in East Region rankings with a 15-5 record, and sits 9th in RPI rankings.
