Chukars Sweep Vikings in Four Game Series
[Moses Lake, WA] - Treasure Valley Community College earned a doubleheader sweep over Big Bend on Wednesday, using both timely hitting and strong pitching performances to secure 4–3 and 12–2 victories.
In the opener, Treasure Valley edged out a narrow 4–3 win behind a clutch performance from Brayden Ollar, who drove in three runs. Ollar made an early impact by reaching on an error in the third inning to bring in a run and later delivered a key sacrifice fly in the eighth that proved to be the difference.
Elliot Jamison led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate, adding an RBI and consistently setting up scoring opportunities. Kade Bailey also contributed by scoring twice, taking advantage of a critical Big Bend error.
On the mound, Grayson Paul delivered a strong outing, pitching six innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out six to earn the win. The bullpen held firm, with Jordan McIntyre and Gabe Schwenken each tossing scoreless innings before Luke Colson shut the door in the ninth with two strikeouts to secure the victory.
Treasure Valley carried that momentum into the second game, where the offense erupted in a decisive 12–2 win.
Ollar continued his standout day, going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run that helped extend the lead. Cam Ueland powered the lineup with four RBIs, capitalizing on key opportunities and defensive miscues by Big Bend. Boyd Kay added two hits and two RBIs, while Colt Durham contributed with two hits and scored twice to keep the offense rolling.
Treasure Valley's pitching staff was equally effective in the nightcap. Nicholas McDaniel earned the win with two scoreless innings, striking out two. Coltan Spagnuolo followed with three shutout innings, adding three strikeouts. Gabe Tanner delivered a perfect inning in relief, and Cooper Derbidge closed out the game, allowing the only two runs from Big Bend.

The Chukars edged out a tight 1–0 victory behind a standout performance from Levi Hazes, who threw seven scoreless innings and allowed just four hits. Gabe Tanner and Luke Colson came in to shut the door, each striking out two and keeping the scoreboard clean.
The game's only run came early, when Bryson Oswald doubled and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Ethan Cates in the second inning. Even in a low-scoring game, Treasure Valley found ways to stay productive. Hunter Christensen led the offense, going 2-for-3 and getting on base consistently, while Oswald and Boyd Kay each added a double. Defensively, Cam Ueland stepped up with two key double plays that helped preserve the shutout.
The second game told a completely different story.
Treasure Valley's offense came alive in a dominant 10–1 win, racking up 15 total hits and putting pressure on Big Bend all game long. Ollar led the charge, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Meyer added two runs and two RBIs of his own. Hernandez also contributed with two hits and an RBI, helping fuel the team's big day at the plate.
On the mound, the Chukars stayed in control. Kace Stapleton set the tone, pitching five strong innings with five strikeouts and allowing just two hits. Landyn Fullmer and Gabe Schwenken handled the rest, limiting Big Bend to just one unearned run and closing out the win.
