Chukars fly over Wolves 3-1
(Ontario, OR) - It was a critical match for the Chukar volleyball team as they continue to battle for a playoff spot and the CHUKS did what they had to do, knock off the Blue Mountain Timberwolves in 4 sets, 25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 28-26.
It was Dig Pink night, and the CHUKS came ready to play. Freshman Kawai Ua led the offensive attack with 16 kills. Jessica Whiteley added 8 kills and freshman Anela Navor set 36 assists on the night. On the defensive side, Navor and sophomore Baylie Whiting each had 13 digs while Ua had 12 digs and freshman Tessa McFetridge added 11 digs.
The Chukars, 14-13 overall and 6-5 in league, will host Big Bend CC this Friday, starting at 6 pm in John J Easly gymnasium.
