CHUKS rally defeat Wenatchee 3-2
(Ontario, OR) - After dropping the first two sets, the Chukar volleyball team rallied to defeat Wenatchee 15-13 in the fifth set to even their league record at 1-1.
The Chukars lost the first two sets 14-25 and 24-26, then rallied to win sets 3 and 4, 25-11, 25-22, before winning the 5th and decisive set.
Janae Odom and Jessica Whiteley each had 12 kills to lead the offense, as Anela Navor dished out 35 assists on the night. Odom also had 18 digs and freshman Kawai Ua served 6 aces during the Chukar comeback.
The Chukars, 7-5 overall, and 1-1 in league, will travel to Gresham, Oregon this weekend to play in the NWAC South region crossover tournament hosted by Mt. Hood CC.
