Ryan Jaggi Named Head Track and Field Coach

[Ontario, OR] - Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) is excited to announce the appointment of Ryan Jaggi as its new Head Track & Field Coach. Coach Jaggi, who also serves as the Head Cross Country Coach, served as an assistant coach for Track and Field during the 2025 spring season, where the Chukars sent 17 athletes to compete in 19 events at the 2025 Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Track and Field Championships.
Hailing from Weiser, ID, Ryan Jaggi is a former distance runner and coach recognized for his commitment to athlete development and excellence in distance running. He competed for Northwest Nazarene University, where he distinguished himself as a talented distance runner, earning accolades throughout his career. After transferring to Treasure Valley Community College for a year to complete his associate's degree, Ryan went on to finish his collegiate career at Eastern Oregon University.
Following his successful collegiate journey, Ryan transitioned into coaching at Eastern Oregon University, serving as a distance coach. With 10 years of experience in the teaching and coaching field, he has a proven ability to build successful programs at all levels. He has coached multiple national champions and dozens of All-Americans at the NAIA level.
His understanding of not just distance running, but all aspects of track and field has shown itself in his four years as a head high school track and field coach in Grangeville, ID, as well as New Plymouth, ID. He has taken 15+ athletes to the state tournament every year across a multitude of events, had multiple state placers, and school record holders. He prides himself on a well-rounded team and loves coaching all events from distance, to hurdles, to throws.
His ability to connect with athletes and understand their individual needs has made him a respected figure in the running community. Ryan's passion for distance running and commitment to fostering a love for the sport continue to inspire the next generation of runners. He remains an advocate for the sport, emphasizing the importance of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork.
Coach Jaggi expresses his excitement to transition into his new role, sharing that "I am beyond excited to be the head coach of Treasure Valley, it's a full circle moment for me. Having been at TVCC as part of my college track career, then being able to come back and coach here is amazing. I think there is a wealth of talent in the region that hasn't been tapped into, and I'm really looking forward to building TVCC into something special. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to head this program. I'm a track nerd and being able to share that with the next generation of athletes is something I'm truly excited about.
