TVCC Competes Against Linfield and Pacific
[McMinnville, OR] - Treasure Valley Community College men's wrestling put together several strong individual performances in a competitive dual against Linfield University, with the match ultimately decided in the final heavyweight bout.
 
The Chukars opened the dual with an early advantage at 125 pounds with a forfeit, setting the tone for the night. Max Vander Melde followed with a dominant showing at 133 pounds, earning a technical fall over Danny Leming. Isaiah Lemmon added another key win at 141 pounds with a hard-fought victory over Fermin Carillo, and Chet Shumaker continued the momentum with a win at 149 pounds over Joshua Cox.
 
At 157 pounds, Brandon Stowe lost by fall to Damon Gasilos. Efren Ybarra added a major decision at 174 pounds over Alex Tapia, giving TVCC another important team result and showcasing the depth of the lineup. Treasure Valley kept the dual close throughout the evening. With the team score coming down to the final match at heavyweight. Cody Vance lost by fall to Camden Roofener. The final team score was TVCC 18, Lindfield 27. The Chukars will look to build on these performances as they continue their season and prepare for upcoming competition. Up next is University of Idaho at home.
 
[Forest Grove, OR] - Competing at the Boxer Open hosted by Pacific Univeristy, he men had a great showing. In 5th place was Danny Leming. Ruben Casner and Nico Sigrah each earned 6th place. In 4th place came Owen Scott, and earning 2nd place was Efren Ybarra
