(Ontario, OR) - The TVCC Women's Basketball team claimed their first NWAC victory over Yakima Valley College 94-92. It was Fan Appreciation Night in John J. Easly Gymnasium and the excitement was felt all the way to the final horn. Paige Vorwaller had a monster game, scoring 29 points and pulling in an amazing 20 rebounds. She also scored the games final points by knocking down a pair of free throws with 18 seconds left. Nicole Rasmussen had the final attempt for the Yaks, but missed a game winning 3 as time expired. Four other Chukars scored in double figures: Tara Chamberlain (16), Lillie Smith (14), Macy Markus (13), and Lillian Kelley (11). TVCC moves to 9-5 on the year and 1-0 in NWAC play. The Chukars will travel to Coeur d'Alene, ID to face the Cardinals on Saturday at 2:00pm.
