Softball Defeats Timberwolves on Road

[Pendleton, OR] - Treasure Valley Community College earned a pair of victories over Blue Mountain, showcasing both offensive firepower and steady pitching in 12–4 and 7–5 wins.

In the first game, Treasure Valley delivered a dominant 12–4 performance fueled by an explosive offense. Kalae Thompson led the charge with a home run, three RBIs, and four runs scored, setting the tone early. Kaydence Chournos added to the momentum with two home runs and two RBIs, while Jessica Broadbent contributed a two-run homer. Additional support came from Charyne Koko and Kynzee Dixon, who each drove in two runs, with both players collecting extra-base hits. Treasure Valley's aggressive approach on the bases resulted in six stolen bases, further pressuring Blue Mountain's defense. In the circle, Kellie Malan pitched five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits to secure the win.

Treasure Valley carried that momentum into the second game, edging Blue Mountain 7–5 in a more tightly contested matchup. Thompson once again delivered a standout performance, blasting two home runs and driving in three runs. Chournos continued her strong play with a home run, while Shara Galvin added a crucial solo shot in the seventh inning to help maintain the lead. Kynzee Dixon also contributed offensively with an RBI and a sacrifice fly.

In the circle, Shea Richardson pitched six innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits while striking out six batters. Malan returned in relief, closing out the game in the seventh inning by striking out two of the three batters she faced without allowing a run. Defensively, Treasure Valley remained disciplined, committing just one error and providing solid support for their pitching staff.

Across both games, Treasure Valley's combination of power hitting, aggressive baserunning, and consistent pitching proved to be the difference, securing a successful sweep over Blue Mountain.
