Treasure Valley Softball Earns Four Home Victories
[Ontario, OR] - Treasure Valley Community College put together an impressive offensive showcase in their matchup against Wenatchee Valley, earning back-to-back wins in dominant fashion.
In the first game, the Chukars powered their way to an 11–2 victory behind a breakout performance at the plate and a steady outing in the circle from Kellie Malan. Treasure Valley blew the game open early with a massive seven-run second inning, capitalizing on opportunities and putting constant pressure on Wenatchee Valley's defense.
Kalae Thompson and Charyne Koko led the charge with home runs, each making a major impact offensively. Thompson turned in an outstanding performance, going 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, two runs scored, and a stolen base. Koko matched the energy with a home run of her own, driving in two runs and scoring twice.
The offense didn't stop there. Trisha Langston added two runs and an RBI, while Jessica Broadbent delivered a key two-RBI double to extend the lead.
Malan anchored the team in the circle, pitching all five innings while allowing just two runs on four hits and striking out four. She also contributed at the plate with an RBI walk, capping off a well-rounded performance.
Treasure Valley carried that momentum into the second game, where their offense exploded once again in a commanding 16–5 victory. The Chukars continued to dominate at the plate, consistently stringing together hits and taking advantage of scoring opportunities to overwhelm Wenatchee Valley.
Across both games, Treasure Valley showcased its offensive depth and ability to generate runs in bunches, combining timely hitting with aggressive base running. The back-to-back wins highlighted the team's confidence and rhythm, as they controlled the series from start to finish.
TVCC will travel to Yakima, WA to compete in the NWAC Crossover Tournament over the weekend.
