Chuks split with CBC
(Ontario, OR) - The TVCC Chukar softball team defeated the Hawks from Columbia Basin College 14-6 in the first game on a walk off HR by Jenna Gray in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Hawks bounced back in game two hanging on for a slug fest 17-13 win over the Chukars in game two.
Game 1 TVCC 14 CBC 6
Jordan Henley went 3-4 with 5 RBI's including a grand slam homerun in the fourth inning. Jenna Gray went 3-5 and had 4 RBI's including her first HR of the season which was a walk off 3 run HR to give the Chukars the win via the 8 run rule. Samantha MacFee went 2-4 including her 3rd HR of the season and Alexis Mulvaney went 2-3. Raelyn Curry earned the win.
Game 2 CBC 17 TVCC 13
The Chukars scored 13 runs on 13 hits including a grand slam by Gracie Waite, but it wasn't enough as the Hawks came back from game one and pounded out 21 hits and scored 17 runs to win the slug fest. Gray, Macie Smith (HR), Henley (7th HR), and Lynsey Hudelson (HR) each had two hits for the Chukars. Shaylee Flint suffered the loss.
