Calvin Britton Named Men's Track Athlete of the Week

[Ontario, OR] - Chukar Track and Field freshman Calvin Britton was named the NWAC Sports Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 24th-30th. Britton hails from Dallas, TX. Treasure Valley Track and Field Head Coach Darren Van Hofwegen nominated Britton after his performance at the Pacific University Open on March 29th. Competing against other NWAC teams as well as NCAA Division 2, NCAA Division 3, and NAIA teams, Britton swept the 110m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles. In the 110mH, Britton finished with a time of 14.95, securing first place. Later in the afternoon, Britton competed in the 400mH, running a 54.15, which again put him in first place. In addition to his solo events, Britton is on the 4x100m relay team, which recently qualified for the NWAC Championships. 

 

Britton and the Chukar Track and Field teams will be at the Northwest Nazarene University Invitational on Saturday, April 12^th in Nampa, ID.
