Treasure Valley Downs Blue Mountain, Secures Eastern Region Championship and #1 Seed at Tournament

[Pendleton, OR] - Jeremiah Williams propelled Treasure Valley Community College with an impressive 26 points, leading to a 92-83 victory over Blue Mountain. The win improved Treasure Valley's conference record to 13-1, as they held off Blue Mountain in the second half to secure the triumph. The men faced a tough challenge as the winner of this game would go on to be the #1 seed from the East heading into the NWAC tournament.

Treasure Valley secured a decisive 92-83 victory over Blue Mountain, improving its record to 16-9 overall and 13-1 in conference play. Williams led the scoring effort with 26 points, shooting 10-of-14 from the field and grabbing seven rebounds. Parker Smith contributed significantly with 10 points, making all four of his free-throw attempts and adding five rebounds. The team as a whole demonstrated efficiency, achieving a 50.0% field goal percentage.
 
From the reserves, Mason Venema and Alain Nziza added depth to the scoring. Venema tallied 16 points and matched Williams with seven rebounds, while Nziza scored 16 points as well, hitting 7-of-7 from the free-throw line. Treasure Valley maintained a strong presence on the boards with a total of 37 rebounds, outpacing Blue Mountain's 29. This victory solidified Treasure Valley's position at the top of the conference standings, showcasing its ability to perform well on both ends of the court. After yesterday's victory, your Chukars are East Region Champions and they are headed into the tournament as the #1 Seed where they will face the #4 North seed Peninsula on March 4th in Pasco, WA at Columbia Basin College.
