TVCC Men's Basketball Inks Texas Standout
Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) is excited to announce that guard Alain Nziza has signed with the Chukars Men's Basketball team for the upcoming season. Nziza, a native of Amarillo, Texas.
Nziza began his basketball journey at Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, where he was a standout player. He was First Team All-District as well as Offensive Player of the year for his conference. Alain is 3rd all-time in assists per game at Palo Duro as well as 2nd all-time in steals per game. His high school performance led him to Eastern Wyoming College, where he continued to develop his game.
Nziza delivered an outstanding freshman season, leading his team in scoring and setting a personal best with an impressive 39-point game. In that standout performance, he showcased his scoring prowess by shooting 11-of-17 from the field, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc, and an exceptional 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Throughout the season, he demonstrated consistency, scoring double figures in 16 of 30 games.
"We are thrilled to welcome Alain to the Chukars family," said Eric Holbrook, Head Men's Basketball Coach at TVCC. "Alain is a special talent. It is not often you can add a player who just has a knack for scoring the ball. We are extremely excited to get him out on campus and continue the success we have had with not just great athletes but with great people."
Nziza's versatility allows him to play multiple positions, providing the Chukars with dynamic options on the court. His commitment to excellence and team-oriented mindset align perfectly with TVCC's values.
"I chose TVCC because it is a winning program with a good culture," said Nziza. "TVCC will help me prepare myself to excel at the next level."
Nziza is the son of Paul Nziza and Angelique Nziza, who have been supportive of his basketball journey.
The Chukars men's basketball team is set to begin their season in the fall, and fans can look forward to seeing Nziza's contributions on the court.
