Treasure Valley Signs Texas Forward Jouk Mayan

Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) Men's Basketball is excited to welcome Jouk Mayan, a 6'7" forward transferring from Eastern Wyoming College, to its roster for the 2025–26 season. Mayan brings length, athleticism, and a growing all-around game that promises to strengthen the Chukars on both ends of the floor.

Mayan made his collegiate debut at Eastern Wyoming where he showcased flashes of defensive intensity, rim protection, and the ability to guard multiple positions. His upside and commitment to development make him a strong addition to a young, competitive TVCC squad.

"Jouk is a dynamic athlete who has the potential to make a big impact on both ends of the floor — which to me fits what our team needs," said Head Coach Eric Holbrook. "I am really excited to get him out here and see how much he can improve in our program and the impact he makes here on campus."

"I chose TVCC because I feel like I'd be the perfect fit for the program and it just sounded like the ideal school for me," said Mayan. "Also, being able to go to school with two of my best friends just makes things better — with our chemistry being able to transfer to the court."

Off the court, Jouk comes from a supportive and close-knit family. He is the son of Juma Joukkeer and Suzana Teran, and has four sisters: Aster, Agum, Ajen, and Nancy Mayan. Their encouragement and support have played a major role in his journey as a student-athlete.

As TVCC prepares for the upcoming NWAC season, Mayan's arrival is part of a broader strategy to reload the roster with versatile, high-ceiling athletes who are serious about development and team success.
