Chukar Men Leave Pasco with Win

[Pasco, WA] - Treasure Valley Community College Men's Basketball hit the road to Columbia Basin College on Wednesday night to open the East Region play with a battle against the Hawks. After two made free throws from Kirath Makhar with 16:51 on the clock in the first half, putting the Chukars up 8-7, TVCC held the lead for the remainder of the game. While the lead got up to 30 points for the Chukars in the second half, the Hawks did not give up, and they were able to lessen the deficit to 10 points nearing the end of the game. TVCC held on for the victory, 95-85 over CBC. Ashraf Barsham finished with a 28-point, 13-rebound double-double, Kirath Makhar scored 19 points, Eddie Rodriguez shot 5-10 from behind the arc and finished with 17 points, and Deacon Kiesbuy put up 10 points off the bench. 

 

TVCC men will host Big Bend Community College on Saturday, January 11^th at 4:00pm. Big Bend comes into the game also 1-0 in East Region play.
