Chukar Volleyball Earns Victory Over Edmonds 3-1 to Advance to Final on Sunday

[Pasco, WA] - On November 21 and 22, 2025, at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington, the Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) Chukars volleyball team made history by advancing to the NWAC Championship Tournament finals for the first time. In their journey to the championship match, the Chukars defeated Spokane Community College with a decisive 3-0 sweep in the Elite 8, and overcame Edmonds Community College with a 3-1 victory in the semifinals, marking a significant milestone for the team.

The Chukars' performance in the NWAC Championship Tournament was groundbreaking, as it was the first time the team had reached both the final four and the championship game. In the Elite 8, the Chukars faced Spokane Community College, a team they had beaten twice previously in the season, each time with a 3-0 sweep. Continuing their dominance, the Chukars once again secured a 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-14, earning their spot in the final four.
 
In the semifinals, the Chukars went head-to-head with Edmonds Community College, a formidable opponent with an impressive season record of 35-2. Edmonds had only been defeated twice throughout the season, both times by the Chukars. In a competitive match, TVCC clinched the victory with set scores of 28-26, 22-25, 25-15, and 25-23. This win not only advanced them to the championship match but also marked the second time this season that the Chukars had bested Edmonds with a 3-1 result.
 
The Chukars are set to face Bellevue Community College on November 23, at 3 PM for the NWAC Championship title. This final match presents an opportunity for the Chukars to crown their already remarkable tournament run with the ultimate victory. Their journey through the tournament has already etched their names into the record books of Treasure Valley Community College athletics, and the upcoming championship game offers a chance to further solidify their legacy.
