Chukar Volleyball Rolling with 8-1 Overall Record

[ Ontario, OR ] – After a historic campaign to the 2024 volleyball season, pressure is high for the Chukars to run it back again, or even best last year's 24-6 record. It will be difficult for the Chukars to find reasons why they shouldn't repeat the success of last year's team. The 2025 squad is loaded with college playing experience. The Chuks return nine sophomores, have added an excellent sophomore transfer player, and welcome five talented freshman to the fold.
It is not only the Chukar faithful who have a high opinion of the team. The head volleyball coaches of the NWAC Conference voted the Chukars as the 6th ranked team in the NWAC Conference in their pre-season poll. Thus far, the Chuks have proven the NWAC coaches wise. The Chuks currently stand at 8-1, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the third ranked pre-season team Bellevue College, who is one of only two teams to have no blemishes on their records this far into the season.
The Chukars are scheduled to play in seven contests over their last two tournaments of pre-season play. Should the Chukars continue their impressive play, they will open divisional play rated in the top 5 of the NWAC. The Chukars will host the Wenatchee Valley Knights in the Eastern Region Division opener on September 19th.
