[Ontario, OR] - The TVCC women's basketball team had a much-needed win over the opposing North Idaho Cardinals on Saturday.
This home game was off to a slow start, with a low score of 19-15 Chukar lead at the break. Keeping their energy up, the Lady Chuks mounted a big second half. Leading the team in rebounds with 17, Hanna Roberts had a valuable presence on the court. In total points, McKell Parkinson contributed 14, Emma Clark with 12, and Maunayia Harrigfeld also put up double-digit points with 11. The final score was 58-43.
The Chuks look to carry this momentum into their next game which will be held Saturday, February 12th at home, against the Big Bend Vikings. The Vikings are currently 3-4 in the East Region. With the Chuks win over NIC, they move to 4-4.
