[Yakima, WA] - TVCC Women's basketball had a weeknight road game against the Yakima Valley Yaks on Wednesday.

The Chuks were on the scoreboard first and fought a close game throughout. With a 28-27 lead at the half, the Chuks tried to keep the momentum up the last twenty minutes. Hanna Roberts and Maunayia Harrigfeld led the team, scoring 15 points apiece. The Yak's rallied after halftime, and the Chukars inch their way back. In a nail-biter contest, the Yaks scored last second to defeat the Chuks 63-65. This was Yakima's first win of the season.

The Lady Chukars are now 3-4 in their conference but have an opportunity to bounce back at home in John J Easly Gymnasium this Saturday, February 5th, vs North Idaho College. North Idaho is currently second in the East Conference at 4-2, with one of their losses stemming from Treasure Valley.
