Chukar Softball NWAC Tournament Bound

[Portland, OR] - The Chukar Softball team is Northwest Athletic Conference tournament bound after they end the regular season in 4th place in the East Region, and 9th overall in RPI rankings. The Chukars were 23-23 overall, and 21-11 in region play. The Chukars had multiple standouts this year, including RS-Fr shortstop Madison Van Sickle. Van Sickle led the team with 76 hits, 19 doubles, 13 home runs, 67 RBI, and a .521 average. Freshman outfielder Leia Jenkins led the team with 66 runs and 32 stolen bases. Freshman catcher Shay McDaniel led the team in triples with 4, 2nd on the team in home runs with 6, and 2nd on the team in stolen bases with 29. 

With the #9 overall seed, Treasure Valley will travel to Delta Park- Owens Sports Complex in Portland, OR to take on the #8 Douglas College Royals at 12:30 pm pacific time on Thursday, May 18th. Douglas College ended the regular season in 3rd place in the North, with a 13-10 overall record, and 12-8 region record.
