Chukars Compete in Pocatello for First Indoor Competition of 2026
[Pocatello, ID] - The Treasure Valley Community College Track & Field team delivered an impressive performance this weekend at the Idaho State University (ISU) Stacy Dragila Meet in Pocatello, Idaho, competing against a talented field that included multiple NCAA Division I and Division II programs.
Despite the high level of competition, the Chukars recorded seven top-eight finishes, proving their ability to compete head-to-head with athletes from D-I and D-II programs. Overall, TVCC totaled 19 new personal records and 16 performances that now rank among the program's all-time Top 10, a clear reflection of the team's depth and continued progression across all event groups.
Leading the way was Mimi Marshal, who turned in a historic meet by breaking TVCC school records in both the 60-meter hurdles and the 200 meters. On the men's side, Jose Torres also etched his name into the record books, setting new school records in the 60-meter dash and the 200 meters, showcasing elite speed and consistency in the sprint events.
TVCC's success extended beyond the sprints and hurdles. The distance crew had a standout weekend, combining to record six new all-time Top 10 marks, while athletes across jumps, throws, and additional track events contributed personal bests and key performances.
With strong competition, multiple school records, and numerous personal and program milestones achieved, the Chukars leave the Stacy Dragila Meet with confidence and momentum as they prepare for their next competition at Eastern Oregon University on February 7th.
