Chukar Men's Basketball Cruises to 5-0 in East Region

[Ontario, OR] - After finishing the pre-season with a 3-8 record, the Treasure Valley Community College men's basketball team has cruised to a perfect 5-0 Eastern Region record, the only unbeaten team in the East. Coming into Wednesday's home contest against the Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves, both teams sat with a 4-0 East Region record. The Timberwolves, ranked #7 in the NWAC Men's Basketball Coaches Poll that was released on January 20th, 2026, held an overall record of 11-6.

Jeremiah Williams erupted with 24 first half points for the Chukars, while Gabe Britton posted 12 points. TVCC shot a blistering 6-12 from three point range in the first half. Britton bettered his first half scoring, putting up 13 points in the second half to total 25 for the contest. Williams scored 9 second half buckets, totaling 33, and led all scorers in the game. Alain Nziza finished with 14 points, going 4-7 from beyong the arc. The Chukars downed the Timberwolves, 96-74. 

Treasure Valley has won their first five Eastern Region contests by an average of 18.4 points per game. TVCC will welcome the Spokane Sasquatch, who are currently 3-2 in the Eastern Region, and #9 in the latest coaches poll, on Saturday, January 24th. Tipoff is set for 12pm MST.
