Chukar Baseball Hosts SWOCC

[Ontario, OR] - Due to inclement weather on the coast, the TVCC Baseball team had their first home games of the season last weekend against the Southwestern Oregon Community College Lakers.

Over four games, the Chuks fell short three games by scores of 7-5, 7-6, and 19-8. The Chuks won the final game, in a 7-inning battle 13-8. Parker Bleggi had 2 hits and 2 runs in the first game. Both Cody Higgins and Trey Schofield had two hits each in the second game. As for Sunday, TVCC's seven-error game stopped them from keeping up with the Lakers. In their single win of the weekend, Khye Montoya had 2 hits and 5 RBIs, including a grand slam in the bottom of the 3rd inning. 

The Chuks will next play the Skagit Valley Cardinals on March 11th and 12th in a four-game series at Joe Martin Field. The Chuks currently sit at 2-8 overall and 0-0 in conference play.
