Chukars split with Spokane

(Ontario, OR) - After losing game one 4-1, the Chukars bounced back to win game two 4-3 in 11 innings.

In game one: Starting pitcher Tyler Laird gave up 3 runs in the top of the first inning and the CHUKS could not garner enough offense to lose 4-1. Nolan Jekich hit a sac fly in the 8th inning to drive in the only Chukar run. Dylan Mansanzarez went 2 for 4 hitting his 3rd double of the year.

In game two: Sophomore Cole Jones delivered the big hit with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the CHUKS over Spokane 4-3. The Chukars scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie the score. Jerred Seamons went 2-3 with an RBI. Logan LaFamina went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Chase Barerra went 1-4 with an RBI.

The Chukars, 18-15 overall and 9-7 in league, will travel to Columbia Basin College this Wednesday.
