Volleyball Wins vs. Wenatchee, Fighting for NWAC Playoff Spot

[Ontario, OR] - On Tuesday, the visiting Wenatchee Valley College Knights paid a visit to the Chukars for a NWAC East Region matchup. The Chukars entered the night 5-6 in East Region play, and 6-12 overall. Every win is important as the season winds down, and the Chukars had that in the back of their mind all evening. 

The fist set saw the visitors on top of the scoreboard, with WVC winning 25-18. The Chukars were able to storm back and rally for three set wins in a row to finalize the game, winning 25-15, 25-12, and 25-21. Sage McDaniel and Reesa Whitworth led the Chukars with 13 kills each, which was a game high, and Macey Buesher dominated the defensive end with 31 digs, also a game high. Lexy Parsons, Faith Burris, and Paia Kaohelaiulii each had double-digit digs, with 13, 11, and 10, consecutively.

The Chukars now sit in 4th place in the East Region standings, beind North Idaho, Columbia Basin, and Yakima Valley. TVCC will travel to Columbia Basin on Friday, October 21st, and finish with three home games on Wednesday, October 26th, Saturday, October 29th, and Wednesday, November 2nd.
