Chukars Remain Undefeated in Eastern Region Play
[Moses Lake, WA] - Treasure Valley Community College Chukars Volleyball competed in back-to-back road matches against Wenatchee Valley and Big Bend on October 17th and 18th, respectively. The Chukars emerged victorious in both contests, achieving a sweep in each match.
In the first match against Wenatchee Valley, Treasure Valley secured a decisive 3-0 win with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, and 25-16. The following day, the Chukars continued their dominant performance against Big Bend, again winning 3-0, with set scores of 25-7, 25-14, and 25-16.
Kate Markley led the team with an impressive 34 kills across the two games, while Karly Clark contributed 23 kills. Josey Cook supported the defense with 21 digs. Coach Engelson praised the team's consistent effort, stating, "These girls bring it every day, no matter the opponent. Going 3-0 both days shows the focus and drive that leads to success."
The Chukars' successful weekend on the road reinforces their standing as a formidable team in the NWAC.
