Chukar Volleyball Honors 3 Sophomores

[Ontario, OR] - The Chukar volleyball team celebrated their three sophomores at their final home game of the season on Saturday vs. the Yaks from Yakima Valley. Maely Harrigfeld, Ashlynn Sherrill, and Courtney Van Winkle were introducted with their families prior to the match. When the Chukars hit the floor, they were outlasted by the Yaks in three sets, losing 16-25, 15-25, and 17-25. McCall Maxfield led the way with 6 kills on the evening, followed by Ashlynn Sherrill with 5 kills of her own. Machey Buesher totaled 17 digs, a game high. Maely Harrigfeld was 2nd for the Chukars with digs, tallying 11. 

The Chukars will finish their season on the road Wednesday, travelling to Columbia Basin for their final match of the season. Columbia Basin is furrently 1st in the NWAC East Region standings, with an overall record of 17-9 on the season.
