Chukar Volleyball Team Wins On The Road

The Lady Chukars continue to be a force in the East Region as they knock off the Hawks to move to 4-1 in East Region play.  Coming into the contest the Chukars have had excellent play from Anela Navor and Cherish Borge.

In Week 6, Navor earned her third East Region Setter of the Week honor as the Chukars dominated on the road beating Blue Mountain 25-22, 28-26, 25-14, Wenatchee Valley College 25-12, 25-16, 25-22, and Yakima Valley College 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.  Navor had 97 assists, 4 service aces, and 29 digs.

Borge helped propel the Chukars in Week 6 as she earned her first East Region Offensive Player of the Week with 29 kills and a .386 hitting percentage while adding 27 digs.

The Chukars face Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, WA. today before returning home to face Walla Walla Community College on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:00pm.  Go Chuks!
