CHUKS get first win of the season
(Ontario, OR) - The TVCC women's soccer team got their first win of the season and first year head coach Max Sampson gets his first collegiate win as a head coach. The Chukars came out firing and defeated the Wolves from Blue Mountain CC 7-0 Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Marisa Saldivar knocked in the opening goal at the 8 minute mark. Just two minutes later, Sammie Patterson scored on an assist from Ruby Gomez. Freshman Krystal Benitez made it 3-0 scoring on an assist from Taylor Anthony.
In the second half, Saldivar scored her second goal of the match at the 57 minute mark. Sophomore Kylie Hicks scored the next two goals and Ruby Gomez knocked in the final goal.
The Chukars, 1-3-3 overall and 1-2-2 in league, will host Spokane and North Idaho College this weekend.
