Chukars Down Roadrunners for a Second Time

[Ontario, OR] - TVCC Women's Basketball had a successful outing in their home game against Linn-Benton, securing a decisive 72-53 victory. The matchup, held as part of the ongoing season schedule, saw the Chukars and the Roadrunners meet for the second time, with another encounter set for the upcoming weekend at the Linn-Benton Crossover.

The game began with a slow start for the Chukars, who trailed 8-16 at the end of the first quarter. However, they dominated the second quarter by outscoring the Roadrunners 23-5, turning the tide to lead 31-21 at halftime. Maintaining their momentum, the Chukars held onto their lead throughout the remainder of the game.
 
Ava Cuff was instrumental in the Chukars' performance, scoring 27 points and making an impressive 5 out of 7 attempts from the three-point line. Her strong showing was a key factor in the team's comeback and eventual victory.
 
Reflecting on the game, Coach Riley Helmick commented, "Although we got off to a slow start, the team played 30 minutes of really good basketball. I'm proud of everyone for their efforts and I am looking forward to continuing to get better this weekend at the Linn-Benton Crossover."
 
Treasure Valley will compete at the NWAC Crossover hosted by Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, OR. They will matchup against Lower Columbia on Friday, Linn-Benton on Saturday, and Bellevue on Sunday.
