Treasure Valley Opens Season 2-0 with Big Victories

[Caldwell, ID] - Treasure Valley Women's Basketball opened their season with a strong showing at the College of Idaho, competing in a two-game series against Diablo Valley. The Chukars dominated both games, starting their season with a 2-0 record.

In the first game on Saturday, the Chukars secured a convincing 111-23 victory over Diablo Valley. Treasure Valley led the entire game, showcasing their offensive strength and teamwork. Lilly Mallory stood out with a 20-point performance, while Rylie Calkins contributed 17 points, and Ava Cuff added 12 points. The team emphasized ball movement, ending the game with 26 assists.
 
Sunday's game mirrored the previous day's success, with the Chukars defeating Diablo Valley 88-22. Lilly Mallory continued her impressive performance, scoring 26 points. The Chukars maintained their momentum throughout, capitalizing on their energetic play.
 
"The team was really excited to get on the floor this weekend and played with energy and enthusiasm. It was fun to see them be successful, and watching both the team and individual performances adds to the excitement for the games to come," comments Coach Riley Helmick. 
 
Treasure Valley Women's Basketball's dominant start to the season sets a promising tone for the upcoming games. They will travel to Eugene, OR for a three game stretch at the Lane Titan Classic November 21st-23rd.
