Strong Second Quarter Not Enough, Chukars Fall to #9 CSI

[Ontario, OR] - Treasure Valley Women's Basketball had their sights set on an upset on Tuesday evening, as the NJCAA nationally ranked College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles came to town. CSI came into the contest ranked #9 in the country. The Golden Eagles hit the ground running in the first quarter and put up 25 points to the Chukars' 13. The second quarter, TVCC went basket for basket with the NJCAA powerhouse, posting 17 points in the second quarter. Momentum was leaning towards the Chukars for a moment, but the Golden Eagles outscored the Chukars by 5 in both the third and fourth quarter, to top the Chukars with a final score of 76-54. Treasure Valley sophomore Hanna Roberts led both teams in scoring with a game-high 15 points. She grabbed 8 rebounds, which was also a game-high. McKell Parkinson had a strong performance as well for the Chukars, as the freshman chipped in with 11 points and 5 rebounds. The Chukars outrebounded the Golden Eagles 31-29. 

The Chukars will have over a week off before they head to the Mt. Hood Community College Crossover Tournament before Christmas break, December 17th-19th. They will face off against Centralia (2-3), Mt. Hood (1-4), and Everett (2-4).
