(ONTARIO, OR) - The Warriors from Walla Walla hand their hands full with the short handed TVCC lady Chukars on Wednesday evening in John J Easly gymnasium. The Warriors prevailed 72-64.
It was close the entire game. Walla Walla led at the half 30-29. The difference in the game was at the free throw line. WWCC shot 83% (26-31) compared to just 50% (9-18) for the Chukars.
The Chukars were without starters Paige Vorwaller and Tara Chamberlain, both out with injuries. Sophomore Ashley Wheatley came off the bench to lead the CHUKS with 17 points. Mia Berengeur added 14 points and Holle Raymond added 10.
The Chukars, 8-10 overall and 3-4 in league, dropped their 4th straight league game, will travel to Yakima Valley this Saturday.
