Treasure Valley Softball Splits Series with Blue Mountain, Highlighted by Big Offensive Outburst.
Treasure Valley Community College softball saw both ends of the spectrum in a two-game stretch against Blue Mountain in Ontario, dropping a tight contest before responding with a dominant offensive performance in the rematch.
In the opening game, Treasure Valley fell 4–2 despite a late push in the seventh inning. Jessica Broadbent delivered the key offensive moment with a two-RBI double, while Trisha Langston added two hits, including a double. On the mound, Shea Richardson worked five innings, and Kellie Malan provided two scoreless innings of relief, but Blue Mountain's early lead proved difficult to overcome.
The Chukars flipped the script in the second matchup, exploding for a 17–6 victory powered by 15 hits and a relentless offensive attack. Langston had a perfect day at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored, while Kalae Thompson drove in four runs, including a home run. Charyne Koko added three hits and three RBIs, and Broadbent continued her strong series with a home run and three RBIs of her own. Early momentum was set by a three-run homer from Kaydence Chournos, helping Treasure Valley build control from the start.
Across the two games, Treasure Valley showed both resilience and offensive firepower—bouncing back from a close loss with one of its most complete team performances of the season. With strong contributions up and down the lineup, the Chukars demonstrated their ability to respond quickly and generate momentum.
As the season continues, Treasure Valley will look to build on the consistency shown in its offensive breakout while continuing to refine execution in tighter, lower-scoring games.
