Treasure Valley Softball Finishes Strong Weekend at NWAC Crossover

[Yakima, WA] - Treasure Valley Community College competed in the NWAC Crossover in Yakima, Washington, putting together a strong weekend that included three wins and one loss against quality opponents.

The Chukars opened the tournament with an 8–4 victory over Shoreline, setting the tone early with a balanced offensive attack. They followed that performance with a dominant 15–1 win over Highline the next day, showcasing their ability to control games on both offense and defense.

In their second game of the weekend, Treasure Valley shut out Umpqua 5–0 behind a dominant pitching performance from Shea Richardson. Richardson delivered a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits over seven innings while striking out five batters and issuing three walks. The defense behind her was flawless, committing no errors to preserve the clean sheet.

Offensively, Trisha Langston led the way, going 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring two runs, and driving in one RBI. She also stole home, helping spark an early lead. Kalae Thompson added a strong performance with a 2-for-4 outing, including a double, one RBI, and a run scored. Jessica Broadbent contributed late-game insurance with two RBIs on a key seventh-inning single, helping seal the win.

Treasure Valley's offense continued to produce throughout the weekend, combining timely hitting with aggressive baserunning and consistent pressure on opposing defenses.
