[Coos Bay, OR] - In a long journey across the state, the Chuks started their season against a strong Southwestern Oregon Community College team and the Chemeketa Storm. The Chuks were hoping to put their winter work on display, but ended up going 0-4 on the weekend.
Some highlights of the weekend included freshman Tylar Dalley with two home runs, Mauri Wade's first college grand slam and Bailey Mitchell and Gabby Lameroux also with home runs.
Starting the season winless is not ideal, but the Chuks look to gain some momentum as they enter league play. The Chuks will host their first home games on March 18th and 19th against North Idaho College and Spokane.
