CHUKS sweep Columbia Basin College
(Ontario, OR) - The Chukars from TVCC defeated the Hawks from CBC 3-1 and 9-2 Friday afternoon at the Heinz Ore-Ida regional softball complex.
In game one: Sophomore Bailee Mills gave up a solo homerun in the first inning then shut down the Hawks the rest of the way giving up only a total of 2 hits while recording 7 strikeouts and no base on balls. Freshman Jordan Henley delivered the big 2 run double in the bottom of the fourth inning to lead the Chukar offense.
In game two: Freshman Raelyn Curry pitched a four hitter and had 3 strikeouts to lead the CHUKS over CBC 9-2. Mills 4-4 with an RBI and Gabrielle Okamura went 3-4 with 2 RBI's. Lynsey Hudelson went 2-4 and Debbie Henze went 2-4.
The Chukars, 14-8 in league and 19-13 overall, host Walla Walla on Saturday.
