Men's Soccer Ends Home Schedule with Win over NIC

[Ontario, OR] - On Saturday, October 15th, Treasure Valley Men's Soccer hosted their final home game of the 2022 season. North Idaho College came into the match 4-6-3, sitting just outside the NWAC East Region Soccer cutoff for the tournament. The Chukars were the first on the board, thanks to a Luis Guzman goal in the 25th minute, assisted by Krystian Clopton. Right before the end of the first half, the Chukars found the back of the net again, by way of a Jesus Hernandez goal in the 40th minute. The Chukars kept their defense solid throughout the game, giving up only one goal in the 64th minute to the visitors. Chukar goalkeeper Javier Bustamente had 14 saves on the afternoon, playing all 90 minutes. 

While the Chukars will finish their season on the road, this was a great way to end the home schedule on a note that builds momentum to take into the off-season to prepare for the 2023 season.
