Cheney High School's Juleon Horyst Signs with Treasure Valley Men's Basketball

Cheney High School senior guard Juleon Horyst has officially signed to continue his academic and basketball career with the Treasure Valley men's basketball program, marking an exciting milestone in his athletic journey.

A dynamic point guard known for his leadership, competitiveness, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, Horyst has been a key contributor for the Cheney Blackhawks throughout his high school career. He leaves Cheney as one of the program's most accomplished student-athletes, earning Greater Spokane League Winter Athlete of the Year honors, becoming a two-time All-Star selection, two-time All-League selection, and two-time Team MVP. Horyst also excelled in the classroom, earning Honor Roll recognition all four years of high school. His scoring ability, court vision, relentless work ethic, and commitment to excellence helped establish him as one of the area's premier guards.

"I chose Treasure Valley because I felt that God made it a clear choice because of all the good things I heard about the school," said Horyst. "After my visit, I prayed a lot, and all roads led to TVCC. I'm excited for this opportunity and grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way."

Treasure Valley Men's Basketball adds an athletic, high-IQ guard who brings energy, defensive intensity, and a team-first mentality to its program. Horyst is expected to make an immediate impact as he begins the next chapter of his basketball career.

Treasure Valley Head Coach Eric Holbrook is equally excited to welcome Horyst to the program.

"We are excited to get Juleon on campus in the fall," said Holbrook. "He is a young man with tremendous upside and the work ethic to become special. A young man with his ability and character will make an immediate impact on our campus."

The Treasure Valley men's basketball program proudly welcomes Juleon and his family to the Chukar family. We are excited to welcome his father, Leon Horyst; his mother, Julie Pearson; his stepmother Nicolette Horyst; and his siblings, Faith, and Mikey Horyst. Their unwavering support has played an important role in Juleon's success, and the entire TVCC community looks forward to having them as part of the Chukar family.

Treasure Valley Community College congratulates Juleon Horyst on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to seeing him excel both in the classroom and on the basketball court as he begins his collegiate career.
