Korban Nelson Signs with Treasure Valley Community College Men’s Basketball

Korban Nelson, standout senior student-athlete from Watersprings High School, has officially signed to continue his academic and basketball career with the Treasure Valley Community College Men's Basketball program.

Nelson leaves Water Springs as one of the most accomplished players in program history. During his high school career, he earned multiple honors, including 2025 Rocky Mountain Conference Player of the Year and 2026 Watersprings Player of the Year recognition.

As a senior point guard, Nelson averaged 23.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.8 steals per game while helping lead the Warriors to a 24-4 season and a top ranking in Idaho's 1A classification. His leadership and scoring ability made him one of the top players in the state, earning him East Idaho Sports Boys Basketball Player of the Year honors.

"We are excited to add Korban to our program," said Eric Holbrook, head coach of the Treasure Valley Community College men's basketball team. "He is a proven winner and a kid who loves to work. He is a great fit for our program as a basketball player and a young man."

"I chose TVCC because of the competitive environment and the brotherhood they offer," Nelson said. "I'm thankful for my coaches, teammates, family, and everyone who supported me throughout my journey. Water Springs has meant a lot to me, and I'm excited for the opportunity to continue playing basketball at Treasure Valley Community College."

Treasure Valley is coming off one of the best years in program history with an East Region Championship in the 25-26 season. They look to follow up their 13-1 Conference record with another great season.
