Treasure Valley Community College Men’s Basketball Announces Signing of Parker Smith
Treasure Valley Community College Men's Basketball is excited to announce the signing of 6'5" guard/forward Parker Smith from Pocatello High School in Pocatello, Idaho.
Parker, a transfer from the NCAA Division II South Dakota School of Mines, redshirted last season due to injury but brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Chukars.
During his time at Pocatello High School, Parker earned a reputation as one of the state's top defensive players, being named the conference Defensive Player of the Year and the State Tournament Defensive MVP. He was also a First Team All-Conference selection and maintained a strong academic record, demonstrating his commitment both on and off the court.
"Adding Parker to our roster is a huge win for TVCC," said Head Coach Holbrook. "His size, shooting ability, work ethic, and character align perfectly with the values we're building here at Treasure Valley. We're thrilled to have him join the program."
Parker expressed his excitement about joining the Chukars: "I chose Treasure Valley because I believe it's the place where I can grow the most, both as a person and as an athlete."
Parker is the son of Kelli and Travis Smith. Kellie and Travis are the parents to Parker and his brother Hunter Smith. We are excited to welcome them to the Chukar Family next fall.
