Chukar Baseball Victorious in 12 Inning Battle vs. Walla Walla
[Ontario, OR] - The Treasure Valley Chukar baseball team faced off against the Warriors from Walla Walla on Wednesday, April 5th. In game one, the Warriors' bats were hot and the Chukars could not match it. The Warriors came out on top 13-3. Braden Horsley and Lincoln Ratliff each hit 2-base hits, and Corbin Sanchez, Lincoln Ratliff, and Ira Lee each recorded an RBI.
In game two, the Chukars battled, and thanks to stellar pitching from Colton Sneddon, the game went 12 innings. Sneddon pitched 8.0 innings, allowed 5 hits, 1 run (earned), and struck out 11 batters along the way. Dillon Eden came in for 2.0 innings, allowing 1 hit, walking 1 batter, and striking out 4. Scott Baker finished off the game, pitching 2.0 innings, and striking out 3 batters. Jeremy Underwood was the hero in the bottom of the 12th inning, as he hit a walk-off single to score Gabe Garza and end the game 2-1 in favor of the Chukars.
