Chukars Battle Cardinals in 4-game Series, Winning Final Game

[Bellingham, WA] - Over a 4-game series, the Chukars were able to pull out 1 win over the Cardinals of Skagit Valley. The games were close throughout the entire weekend, with the Chukars losing the first three games by scores of 2-3, 3-5, 2-7, and the lone win was 5-3. 

Scott Baker and Oakley Lawrence saw the mound for the Chukars in game 1, with Baker picking up 5 strike outs in 5.1 innings pitches. 

Game two pitchers were Brett Allen and Shai Lolo-Tamashiro. Allen pitched 5 innings, striking out 1 batter. Lolo pitched 3 innings, with 5 strikeouts tallied. 

Game three pitchers were Cory Apker and Nick Eliason. Apker pitched 5 innings, striking out 5. Eliason saw 3 innings, and totaled 2 strike outs of his own.

In the final game of the series, the Chukars picked up the win 5-3 in 6 innings. Joseph Rajo picked up the W pitching, as he threw 4 innings, striking out 4. Jaime Silva came in for 1 inning. Andrew Sharp hit a home run for the Chukars, Trey Schofield had 3 RBI, while Andrew Sharp and Drew Deal each had 1 of their own. 

These games bring Treasure Valley to 3-11 on the season. The Chukars will take a weekend off, and then host the Clackamas Cougars in a 4-game series on Saturday and Sunday March 26th and 27th at Elks Memorial Field in Ontario, OR. The Cougars are currently 2-0 on the season.
