Treasure Valley Opens up Spring Season in Umpqua

[Roseburg, OR] - After a long break following preseason fall ball, the TVCC Baseball team traveled to Roseburg, Oregon the weekend of February 18th to play a total of four games against Umpqua Community College. These games were held on Champion Car Wash Field. 

On Friday, the Chuks split the doubleheader with the UCC RiverHawks. In the first game of the series, the Chuks scored 2 runs in the sixth inning yet the RiverHawks scored two of their own unanswered runs through the seventh and eighth innings. In the top of the twelfth inning, The Chuks regained the lead and ultimately won the ballgame 3-2. The Chuks lost the final three games with scores of 5-0, 7-4, and 6-0. Joey Raker led his team this weekend with 3 RBI's. 

Treasure Valley will play a doubleheader on Friday, February 25th against the College of Southern Idaho. This away game in Twin Falls against the Golden Eagles will be another non-conference game. The Chuks are looking to gain some momentum as they inch closer to league play.
