Roadrunners take two more from CHUKS
(Albany, OR) - The TVCC Chukar baseball team finished their 4 game swing at Linn-Benton CC losing on Sunday by the scores of 4-1 and 5-3
Game 1
Freshman Casey Rodriguez started his first game for the CHUKS and suffered the loss despite giving up only 1 hit in 6 innings of work. The Chukars only managed two hits of their own in the loss. Carson Wong and Anthony Palluno each singled.
Game 2
The Chukar bats came alive as they scored 3 runs in the top of the fifth inning to tie it up, but would give up single runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth to lose 5-3 in seven innings.
Freshman Riley Harris (New Plymouth) started for the Chukars and again the Chukar pitching was no let down. Harris pitched 3 innings giving up no hits, but issued 3 walks. Freshman Wyatt Bleskin led the Chukars going 2-3 in the game. Sophomore Chase Barerra doubled in a run. Barerra is currently .500 on the year. Burrup, Wong, Rodriguez, and Hladky each singled for the Chukars.
The Chukars, 1-5 on the season, will travel to Walla Walla this weekend to take on the Warriors, Green River, and Shoreline.
