Season comes to an end with loss to Umpqua CC at NWAC tourney
(Everett, WA) - The TVCC women's basketball team ended the 2017 season with a 84-49 loss to number one seed Umpqua CC Saturday morning in Everett, WA. For the second straight season, Coach Gabe Fuentes and his Lady Chuks ended the season with winning record and an appearance to the sweet sixteen at the NWAC Championship tournament.
Sophomore Gentry Oldham was the only Chukar to score in double figures with 10 points. The Riverhawks from Roseburg held the Chuks to just 24% shooting from the field and the Chuks shot just 29% from the 3 point line.
The Chukars ended the season with an overall record of 17 wins and 12 losses
