Chukars cruise past Timberwolves 80-42
(Pendleton, OR) - The TVCC women's basketball team opened up East Region play with a victory on the road over the Timberwolves from Blue Mountain CC 80-42 Wednesday night.
Sophomore Riley Helmick led the way with 20 points, including 6-11 from the 3 point line. Sophomore Gentry Oldham added 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Freshman Shelby Kincaid dropped in 10 points. Freshman Taylor Whitney grabbed a team high 7 rebounds.
The Chukars won their 9th game of the season, with 3 losses, and moved to 1-0 in conference play.
The Chukars will host Spokane on Saturday in John J Easly gymnasium starting at 2 pm.
