CHUKS drop twinbill with North Idaho College 8-0 and 11-5
(Coeur d'Alene, ID) - The Cardinals from North Idaho College came out on all cylinders Saturday and shut down the red hot CHUKARS 8-0 and 11-5.
In game one: The CHUKARS could only manage 4 hits and the Chukars were shutout 8-0 in 6 innings. Backup infielder Celena Hussey went 2-3. Starter Bailee Mills suffered her 7th loss of the season.
In game two: Starting pitcher Raelyn Curry took the CHUKS to the bottom of the 6th inning with a 4-1 lead. However, the Cardinals rallied for 10 runs to pull out the win 11-5.
The Chukar bats rebounded as the CHUKS banged out 11 hits. Mills went 2-4, Debbie Henze went 2-4 with 2 RBI's and Gabrielle Okamura went 2-3.
The Chukars, 14-12 overall and 12-8 in league, will be playing a modified schedule for this coming weekend, to be announced.
