Chukars defeat Warriors 89-85
(Ontario, OR) - Freshman Tyus Jefferson hits a 3 point shot with 7 seconds left to lift the CHUKS over Walla Walla 89-85 on Wednesday night in John J Easly gymnasium.
With seven seconds left the CHUKS forced a Walla Walla turnover and freshman Jaden Vaughn hit one of two free throws to seal the win for the CHUKS, who are battling for the fourth place representative out of the East region.
Jefferson led the CHUKS with 23 points. Troy Williams also knocked down 23 points, including 5-9 from the 3 point line. Vaughn added 14 points followed by Kendall Williams with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Hunter Bailey added 10 points.
The Chukars finished the regular season 17-10 overall and 10-6 in league play. The Chukars await the outcome of Big Bend CC for the fourth place finish in the East.
