Chuks season comes to an end with two losses at Lane CC
(Eugene, OR) - The Chukars went into Sunday needing just one win to clinch a spot in the NWAC championship tournament. However, host Lane CC came out and swept the CHUKS 4-0 and 6-1 to advance to Longview, WA next weekend.
In game one: Start Tyler Laird went 4.2 innings scattering 7 hits and giving up all 4 runs (2 ER) and the Chukar bats could only bang out 5 hits in the 4-0 loss to Lane CC.
In game two: Again the Chukar bats were silent as the CHUKS could only manage 2 hits in the "if necessary" game loss to Lane CC 6-1.
Nolan Jekich drove in the only run for the Chuks on the day and Dylan Mansanzarez collected the other hit (his 4th double of the year). Ryan Yost suffered the loss.
The Chukars ended the season 27-22 overall and 16-12 in East Region play.
